At the dawn of the new millennium and directly after Episode one, Hasbro released the then Brand New Power Of The Jedi (POTJ for short) toy-line range. The packaging design again changed, this time to a lighter green color (then the POTF2 series Power Of The Force 2 '95-'99). Hasbro would completely move away from the expensive make of the Episode One figure range which included the complex Commtech Chip technology. The new Green card series would instead include a Collector swap card inside the bubble beside the figure for the first time ever for the Standard 3 and 3/4" inch Star Wars figures (the first being Bend'ems by Just-Toys).

Hasbro's Power Of The Jedi POTJ would also make history for Star Wars, as for the first time ever in the franchises history the Original Trilogy Saga would meet the Brand New Prequel Trilogy together inside any one figure assortment. It would also be the first time Hasbro would release lower figure quantities and figure box assortments onto the market place making some characters extremely rarer in some areas for a time, as Hasbro would vow to never mass market flood again after the massive bombardment of Episode One's mess in later '99. Some Major Store chains did not even release some POTJ Figures in fear of another market flooding, which also resulted in some characters becoming very rare overnight on the collectors market early in the series release. POTJ Had some amazing characters added for Star Wars play value and especially Collecting. With up to 28 unique 3 and 3/4" inch figures never before made or since (currently) not re-released again.
