MAJOR NEWS 2006 READ ON:
STAR WARS SAGA SERIES 2
The Hunt is on... Now!!!
As Hasbro merge all existing and all previous lines of Star Wars under the new Saga Collection Banner, it not only
incorporates all six blockbuster movies into the one series again, as did Power Of The Jedi did in 2000 and then once again with Saga Series 1 in 2002. It also features simular Card and Artwork style design as the OTC or Original Trilogy Collection. Packaged in a black and silver style similar to the original vintage toys and the previously available OTC line, these figures bring back old
favourites alongside brand new figures from all Star Wars films. Each figure includes a display base with the film's logo and a bonus 2-inch holographic figure, which will be first issued in Blue and then later in the year these will change to red.
The best thing to happen in 2006 is that Hasbro are finally listening to collectors who have been screaming for better card artwork and more original trilogy presentation packaging for over the ten years since Hasbro have been producing the toy-line. Even Figures from last years Episode Three series will be brought back in limited supply under the Heroes and
Villains assortments to bring these characters up to date within the new Saga Series 2 packaging.
The biggest surprise Collectors and parents will find on the shelves in 2006 will be the start of the Ultimate Galactic Hunt Figures (UGH), which like non-sports cards have special or limited edition chase cards. Well these figures will be
randomly packaged into some specially designated action figure assortment cases. The Ultimate Galactic Hunt (UGH) chase variant figures will be Limited to just 2 per case (not of the same character!), these randomly inserted figures will have special foil packaging, a silver base, and a silver bonus 2-inch holographic figure inside the back of the packaging. Look out for the special Stormtrooper Head logo sticker on the bubble which states Ultimate Galactic Hunt 2006! These figures will be sort after and picked up very quickly as these will be prized variations for the diehard Star Wars collectors and as the series has only just begun, prices in the U.S.A reflect the
availability and yes these are coming to Australian shelves soon!!! There will be 10 different Silver Foil chase figures in all, with two foil variants included per case pack of 12 figures randomly assorted.
Vintage Series Continues in 2006!
Classic Kenner-style figures are back by popular demand with all-new assortments of must-have classic styled Action Figures.
But that's not all, Star Wars fans have a chance to embark on a bounty hunt of their own to capture the crowning action figure of any collection... the George Lucas Stormtrooper tribute figure, available only by mail-away!
By sending in the proof-of-purchase stickers found inside each of these five different vintage figures: Luke Skywalker in X-wing pilot outfit, Greedo, Biker Scout, Han Solo in
trench coat and the Tusken Raider, plus shipping and handling, fans will receive their very own George Lucas in Stormtrooper Disguise vintage-style figure. A tribute nearly 30 years in the making! YES THIS IS ON OFFER TO AUSTRALIA With a Special N.S.W Hasbro shipping address! (details soon!).
Although there is big benefits for collecting the 2006 Toy Range. The latest problem facing not only the collectors but also the parents looking for their kids is that the availability factors for finding many of the products. Unlike the last 2 years where the products have been
available during a heighten movie release period, Hasbro have once again down scaled the size and
quantity of production for Star Wars Worldwide. Meaning once again some characters will appear and disappear quickly as production moves along in 2006. For an example, Waves, 1 and waves 2 of the figures this year have already sold-out Worldwide, leaving whatever stock retailers have- as what is left with some characters. Whilst some collectors will find this news
fantastic to hear about their collectable hobby, many others including parents buying may find it increasingly difficult to complete a collection than previously and for some parts of the year.
Production factors will come into place in 2006 as some major stores may even miss some assortments due to the worldwide Qtys available. either one way or another, the exciting year leading into the Star Wars 30th Anniversary in 2007 will be an extremely interesting year at retail.

format to match the rest of the Collecting Archive too. Again when time allows

of Figure Card fronts for your web enjoyment!
