EPISODE ONE SERIES COLLECTION
Made By Hasbro 1999-2000.

The Star Wars Movie Prequel Trilogy began in May 1999.
For the first time in history a toy company (Hasbro) released an Action figure series with micro-sound-chips (Commtech) so that you could interactive with each character via a Commtech chip reader. The only down side to this series was the original heavy prices paid for the new technology. The best feature of this series was the fact that you didn't need to take your figures out of the packaging to play the commtech chip features, as the Reader can scan the chips through the packaging. Some figures in this series were never released in Australia after Hasbro completely flooded the market in early to mid 1999. Hard to find and Rare figures reflect availability and also prices on the later and rarer figures and vehicles.

The Star Wars EP1 movie series was to be unique in its own way, as the collection had its own packaging and style, later in 2002 when Hasbro released the Saga Series Collection, The Episode Two Attack Of The Clones Figures were not released in their own packaging, as the series continued to include characters from the entire Star Wars Galaxy. The Episode One series will become collectable in it's own right, due not only to the packaging, but also for the fact that not many characters or vehicles etc have been released in any shape or form at all since!
