From the Star Wars Return of the Jedi Episode 6 Storyline: The Empire prepares to crush the Rebellion with a second, more powerful Death Star. As the Rebel Fleet mounts a massive attack on the Dreaded space station, Luke Skywalker confronts his father, Darth Vader, in a climactic duel before the evil Emperor. Meanwhile in the space above the Forrest Moon of Endor the Rebel Armada arrives including B-Wing, X-Wing, Y-Wing and A-wing Fighters to destroy the Death Star. Back inside the Monster Space Station at the last second. Darth Vader makes a momentous choice; he destroys the Emperor and saves his son. The empire is finally defeated, the evil sith are destroyed and Anakin Skywalker is redeemed. At long last freedom is restored to the Galaxy, as the assault on the 2nd Death Star lead by Lando Calrissian in the Millennium Falcon followed by A-Wing and X-wing Fighters is successfully destroyed!

A NEW PIECE OF STAR WARS HISTORY!

The Brand New A-Wing Fighter is a 2-pack as it comes with an Exclusive A-Wing Fighter Pilot! The Pilot is a brand new Figure and is completely different to its original 1997 released counterpart. This new Figure comes with a removable Pilot Helmet. FACT: This is the first time in Star Wars A-Wing history where the Vehicle's pilot has a removable helmet, which will appeal to everyone. The new fighter is up-dated compared to its vintage or original 1985 and 1997 versions. It is the first time the vehicle has been delivered in its Return of the Jedi Green Squadron colors at figure size. The only other Green Squadron A-Wing was from the micro Action Fleet series by Galoob.

The A-Wing Fighter is the fastest Starfighter in the Rebel Alliance's Fleet. Used in the Battle of Endor, an A-Wing commanded by Green Leader helped to successfully turn the tide of the battle by attacking an imperial Super Star Destroyer, which caused the Enemy Flagship to crash into the second Death Star at Endor.

Vehicle Toy features:
Originally this vehicle was to be released under the Disneyland Star Tours series. This decision was overturned and the vehicle became a Saga Series exclusive for 2003 instead! The Vehicle with its Pilot is nicely presented in a window type box format which is also a must for any Star Wars collection out there! The A-wings Signature features are included as follows: Dual Laser Cannons pivot 360 degrees. The cockpit canopy opens and closes and can fit most Star Wars Action figures including Pilots from other Star Wars Vehicles! The spacecraft is nicely presented in Green Squadron Colors with awesome close up detail. The Exclusive Fighter comes with an Exclusive Pilot again different from all previous releases! Plus the fighter also includes its retractable landing gear so it can land on almost any terrain.
