The Republic Gunship is a powerful war machine used by the clone army.
Its huge transport bay can carry large numbers of troops into battle,
deploying them not only through the side doors but also with the deployable
troop platform. Outfitted with an impressive arsenal of weapons including
laser cannons, blasters and missiles, the gunship is instrumental in the Clone Wars.

This Gunship features Firing cannons! Swivelling tail cannon and grappling hooks! Rotating turret! Battle-ready automatic doors! Firing missile launchers. Each Wing has one rotating Laser Turret Cannon with a compliment of x4 removable Bombs which can detach from the the middle under the wing. There is also a special storage locker bay with removable hatch in the wings arm-pit. The x2 Grappling Hooks detach from the rear just below the Swivelling Tail Cannon. Inside the belly of the transport fighter are some floor pegs for action figures ( Action Figures Sold Separately) to stand on the deployment platform and just behind that, both side wall door hatches can open out to reveal extra room in the back cargo hold to store and carry a Republic Speeder Bike (Sold Separately)! This is an amazing feature which is missed by most kids playing with this spectacular machine of the clone army. Opening Canopy. The sold separately Clonetrooper Pilot (pictured on both sides front and back just above) from the Saga Series 2002 range features a figure cannon accessory that comes with that figure release only! This cannon accessory can attach to this vehicles cargo hold left or right side for awesome extra play value (again this is only sold separately).

CLONE WARS REPUBLIC GUNSHIPS

Rugged, combat-equipped repulsor-craft, Republic attack gun ships rained down blistering barrages of laser and rocket retribution against the droid forces of the Separatists. Each winged gunship was covered in weapons, offering air-to-ground and air-to-air support as well as serving as an infantry transport. The front of the gunship features hunchback-style cockpit bubbles, wherein the gunship pilot and co-pilot / gunner sit in single file. Chin-mounted on the craft are a pair of laser cannon turrets. On the gun ship's dorsal surface are its primary armaments, two massive rocket launchers fed by a rear-mounted missile belts. The vessel's splayed wings have a pair of automated bubble-turrets, with composite-beam laser weaponry. A second pair of bubble-turret cannons extends on articulated arms from the troop cabin, and are gunner-operated by clone troopers encased within the armoured spheres. Air-to-air rockets are slung on the ventral surface of each wing. Rounding out the gun ship's armaments is a single tail-cannon that provides covering fire for troops and small vehicles leaving the gunship. A larger variant of the gunship is specially designed to airdrop heavy cargo, such as the Republic's AT-TE combat walkers.

CLONE ARMY GUNSHIPS

The Rothana Heavy Engineering Low-Altitude Assault Transport/infantry (LAAT/1) Repulsorlift Gunship is the workhorse of the Republic clone army. Primarily used for troop transport and air support, these versatile aircraft combine ultra-manoeuvrability with amazing firepower, making the gunship ideal for hit-and-run, as well as defensive missions. Piloted by two of the highly trained clone pilots, these craft can perform deft maneuvers in all environments and weather conditions. In the hands of a Jedi pilot, these ships can do the unimaginable.
